Compatibility
• Will Passion4coffee Pods work in my coffee pod machine?
Passion4coffee coffee pods are compatible with the following Nespresso®
machines: Citiz, Creatista, Essenza, Essenza Mini, Expert&Milk, Inissia,
KitchenAid , Lattissima, Lattissima Touch, Lattissima Pro, Maestria,
Pixie and U milk. There are also a range of Nespresso compatible
machines that are not made by Nespresso® such as the Cino machines,
skycap, Kogan Premium EZ-press, Kmart HomeMaker etc.
• Can Passion4coffee pods be used with other capsule systems & machines?
Our pods are designed only to be compatible with the Nespresso® system.
Our pods are not compatible with Espressotoria, Lavazza blue, Expressi
or Dolce Gusto machines.
• How long does it take to dose an espresso?
Our passion4coffee pods are designed to take between 18 - 25 seconds to
extract. We carefully tailor this with each batch to ensure consistent
extraction results. The slower extraction time allows for maximum
flavour, crema and aroma. Be aware however that the Nespresso machines
often lose their memory settings and some come incorrectly programmed
from factory so its worth getting a measuring cup and seeing if when you
press the small coffee button its actually dosing 30ml of water. The
machines are easy to program, see you individual machine user manuals
for details.
• How long can I store my Passion4coffee pods?
Our coffee pods have a shelf life of 24 months in our individual over
wrap and 12 months in our re-sealable bags and once opened use the
re-sealable bags in 4-5 days. Just make sure the re-sealable bag is
closed properly after every use.
• How long does it take for biodegradeable pods to break down
Our coffee pods are made from 100% biodegradable food safe material. you can place the pods in your own garden composte, dig them into the soil or throw them away - they will take approximately 90 days to decompose.
• Will using Passion4coffee pods impact the warranty of my Nespresso®
machine?
No, the warranty on your machine is not dependent on the capsules used
in the machine and should be honoured by the manufacturer. If in doubt,
refer to the manufacturer’s warranty information that was supplied with
your machine.
• Do you have to maintain the machine?
Absolutely yes, although there is very little cleaning needed, its
important to flush your machine with water (i.e. press the button
without placing a pod in) before and after you have used it. Make
sure you clean and empty the capsule drawer as well as the drip tray often. It's
also a good idea to descale your machine at least once a month
preferably with an organic descaler.
• How do I prevent coffee build up in my machine?
To make sure you don’t get a build-up of coffee in your machine, we
recommend that you run water through the machine first thing in the
morning before you make your first coffee. It will make a big difference
to the lifespan of your machine and you can always use that water to
warm your cup before brewing.
Problems
• What happens if the pods don't work?
Our pods have been tested on all Nespresso® compatible machines, in fact
we are so confident that our pods will work in any Nespresso® compatible
machine that we offer either a refund or exchange on any purchase if our
pods don't work in your Nespresso® compatible machine.
• What do I do if my order has gone missing or I have received incorrect
products?
If your order’s gone astray, or the coffee you’ve received isn’t the
product you’ve purchased, please get in contact with us here or send us
an email and we’ll get you sorted straight away.
• What should I do if I am not satisfied with the quality of the coffee?
We’re committed to giving you the best cup of coffee that you’ve ever
tasted, but if you’re not happy with what you’ve received, please get in
contact here with your order number and we’ll get you sorted.
